Is it safe to live in the government apartments in 101st and second ave? those 3 blocks of apartments in the middle? How safe is it, whats the area like? Anyone that been there or live there have any details? Would definitely love to know! Thanks !

Its Lower Harlem.
Ghetto,violence,drugs you name it.
Its not as bad as it used to be and its close to the Upper East Side.

What do you mean by "government apartments" - public housing projects? or housing for government employees or something?

It is not the best area, but not the worst. You would be safer living on West 100th Street on the upper west side if you are willing to live that far north.
