Do You Think a Ballpark in Manhattan Will Work?
I'm doing research, and I found out that the Polo Grounds was in Manhattan. I think that would be beautiful to have a ball park in the middle of the city. Is it feasible?

Not long ago, the New York Jets and Mayor Bloomberg tried and failed to put a stadium on the West Side of the city, and it was eventually killed off by James Dolan & MSG.
It would of been really nice to have an actually football team that played it's games in NY (other then the Bills)
Then you have the soon to be Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn and will be home to the New Jersey (Brooklyn)Nets, while not the city, that area of Brooklyn is somewhat similar in traffic patterns to the city.

Baseball primarily, but it could also be multi purpose

I don't know why the three major football teams in New York don't even play in the boroughs . The funny thing is that the Giants had their parade in the city, a place where they don't even play.

Baseball teams and football teams don't like to share venues anymore and I don't think there will be another baseball or football team in NY anyway so the question is kind of moot isn't it ?
I think the West Side stadium was the last chance of ever seeing another ballpark or stadium in midtown and it's dead.
So,no,I don't think it will ever work.

The Polo Grounds was not exactly in the middle of Manhattan.

Mazel tov on your discovery!
As to "feasible," well, everything is relative. Have you ever seen what the subway trains look like when either the Mets or Yanks are playing home games? Or traffic in the vicinity of Citifield or Yankee Stadium? Don't make it sound like Queens or The Bronx is off in the country someplace.
A stadium in Manhattan would create the same kinds of nightmares. The real question here isn't feasibility--it's necessity. And that answer to that question is a resounding "No!" We don't need a stadium in Manhattan. Hopefully, your research also revealed the fact that the Polo Grounds was put up at a time when there wasn't any such thing as automobile traffic. (You could say the same thing about Ebbets Field--because the idea of building a stadium right in the middle of a dense residential district like Flatbush wouldn't make a whole lot of sense in the 21st century, either).
