I was writing because I was looking at moving to this area specifically, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the neighborhood. Safety, food, etc. would help. I've heard various things about it, ranging from those who love the area to those who could take it or leave it. Let me know if you have any thoughts...

grand ave and putnam ave is the only corner that i can think of that i would tell you not to move to (gang and drug problems) near fulton street, also you will see some crackheads walking around. rest of grand ave is ok safety wise as long as u use precaution, as one should in any urban environment.

I totally agree with heylookatthat. I would suggest that with a friend or two you check this area out at different times of day...then decide for yourself.
