Default Is the Wall Street area at night safe?

I am looking into staying in a hotel located at 126 Water Street. This is near Wall Street in the Financial District. I understand that this area is safe during the day but is it safe at night?

Thanks!!

Thanks. I was concerned about safety because I figured it becomes pretty desolate at night when the offices are closed. There are many places in Boston, where I live, that are fine during the day, but become another place entirely at night. Thanks again.

it is desolate at night, but its not an area where bad guys really lurk around. the worst you'll see is a homeless person (male or female) taking a **** in the street. other than that its pretty safe. i wouldnt worry about getting mugged or anything like that.

It's safe, but you can still easily get robbed because no one is around late at night. Just don't look lost and don't walk around past 2 AM. Take a cab back late at night.
