I was planning on bringing my son to NYC in the spring, but I just realized the Tut exhibit ends in Jan. Is it worth it to come sooner, so we don't miss it?

My GF and I finally caught it in August. Is it worth it? Well...if you can get the discounts...then yea...Full Adult Fare? No. We paid about $15 each with our discounts. I think the ticket retail was $29.50.

It's pretty well organized, and there's a lot to see, but you will NOT see the most famous pieces there, unfortunately, you'll probably have to go to Cairo to catch those...so keep that in mind.

Thanks. I think we'll just wait until spring and go to the Met.

Agreed, not worth a special trip. Although I knew the most famous piece does not leave Egypt, I think it is misleading that they use it in all of the marketing and advertising materials. I expected to at least see a replica.
