From my experience living in [USA] for the last five years, prices are on the rise especially for food and housing. There’s a helpful tool that you can use ( HuMuch.com- find, share, and compare prices around the world ) to decide for your particular situation. This is just dumb comment and very misinformed. Many countries in Europe and even our neighbor Canada have higher taxes than us in US.
Scariest cost of living in US is the money needed to cover the unexpected medical emergencies or long term illness/disease...even if you have insurance.
