Job will be in NYC. Where to stay with family & kids? (Floral Park: real estate)

Hi,

I am getting job in NYC. Where should I live with my family (two kids)?

I can commute to 45 to 60 mins.

Looking for good & secured appartment where some Indian community is there, where my kids can play, where a pre-school near by.

Can you please suggest the appartment/locations to stay?

45-60 minutes outside of NYC gets you into Westchester, Rockland or Putnam, depending on where in NYC you are working. Driving or taking the train? If taking the train Westchester and Rockland. If you work on the upper West Side/East Side (and I mean upper) and drive like I do you can make it into Putnam in an hour. Rockland is affordable an about 40mins outside of NYC I use to take the bus from here to midtown, actually I enjoyed the ride because I use to get alittle extra sleep Moderator cut: realtor soliciting Good Luck

The major Indian area in around NYC is either Bellerose/Glen Oaks/Floral Park Queens. You will feel right at home there surrounded by your people. This area has almost completely converted to Indians/Paki's since 1990. Go check it out, you are going to like the looks and smells of this place.

Rockland/Westchester is not for you, you will surely go into massive curry withdrawals. Not many Indians up there do you want to be isolated?
