Default Street Cleaning on a School Street uptown Manhattan

I'm not going to point to any specifics here, though I do have one, if not two, in mind.

A street has Tuesday/Friday street cleaning in effect from 11AM to 12:30PM.
This same school also has no parking 7AM to 4PM for DOE on most of, but not the entire block, as it has a school on it.

I move my car generally and have yet to be ticketed on this street... but I questioned if during the school day all these teachers/school staff move their car to accomodate the cleaning.

Not so much to my surprise- they do not- and the street itself does not get cleaned. They do not get ticketed either.

For the part of the street that is not DOE restricted, that is also not getting cleaned- should those people be able to be ticketed?
Obviously they are in the wrong parking there, but so are those parking with DOE permits.

What happens on your school street?

anyone have any insight on this- I cleverly placed a piece of trash yesterday to test it out. The street again is not cleaned.

Instead of being so "clever" why not just enjoy the knowledge that comes to New Yorkers after being here awhile. Knowing the contradictions that allow the City to run and remain human is what makes it tolerable. I don't think Dengue Fever is lurking curb side.

... but alas there is a hypocrisy that comes with ticketing a car for being in a street cleaning zone that will never see a street cleaning until school is out for breaks, since holidays the street cleaning is suspended.

I'm curious what it's like on other streets- aside from just the one near here.
