Hey everyone!

So I'm trying to buy noise reducing window treatments. I'm partial to blinds, but what is better in reducing noise? Blackout curtains or blackout blinds? Is there a difference?

Thanks!

I do not think that curtains or shades or blinds will keep the room quiet.

I believe there are windows called quiet windows or something like that, but I can't imagine by drawing a blind all the way down that the room would become quiet, seems silly???

Heavy drapes help and sound blankets or using moving blankets as a curtain.
I've used sound blankets to wrap a HVAC compressor/condenser on a roof. No reason why they couldn't be used indoors.

If you can afford it, I've heard good things about City Quiet windows. But they aren't cheap and if you are in a rental, you'd have to get landlord's approval.
