"squeak n' low". funny, the building's supposed to still be infested but i never see any mice and they never seem go in my office

but listen to this, about 15 years ago i opened up a closet to get some toilet tissue out of a storage room as soon as i turned on the light about 15 to 20 mice scattered and so did I!! and i asked myself, where on earth did they go?

now, whenever i go into a supply closet (we have since moved away from that side of the bldg) after i open the door and turn the light on i always give it up to 30 seconds to give them a chance to scatter, if there are any. so far i've never seen any

i think being right next to the subway yards is what does it. a co worker of mine who lived across the street, her house was infested with them for years, i think it has to do with the location

that question is probably better answered by people who are so used to seeing rats(like MTA workers) that they no longer skeeve them!!
