Congrats to all of you on your new apartments!! I am overjoyed that things are falling in place for most. My leasing agent at bruckner sent my paperwork to the board about 3 weeks ago-- so I am patiently waiting and sending nothing but pure positive energy into the universe. At first I thought I was getting the run around as if they were playing games- but I had to check my thoughts and accept it as a matter of Bruckner wanting to ensure that everything was in order and almost close to perfect. (methologies of positive thinking) lord knows I have been through alot-- I am praying for a call soon for the final approval for this 2bedroom apt for my daughter and I. This would play a big roll in my picking up the pieces. Wishing all of you much love and pecans

Hey everyone! So.....I saw THE apartment today. I was actually surprised at how it turned out. I was even more surprised that I fell in love with it so quick. I saw, maybe 3 units before going back and deciding which one. The view was very nice, and to my surprise, the bridge was not as close as I thought. The closet in the room alone made me excited. The lobby of the new building was nice, very sunny and bright. We went through the building and around, and came up the undone elevator. BTW, the lady who escorted me was so nice. She was the perfect person for that job and didn't mind the questions. Anyway, I saw the apartment and was like, "Yup! This is it!" She then showed us the outdoor lounge that they have...very nice and quaint also. It was well manicured with a few trees and umbrella covered tables. (I think they're were umbrellas) It was VERY nice. Very VERY nice. Next, I saw the laundry room located on the 2nd floor. That sealed the deal. There were about 10 washers and dryers...just waiting for my Saturday morning laundry run. I mean, it wasn't done in there, but you could tell, it was going to be nice once it's completed. In the end, I was SHOCKED by Bruckner. Oh yeah, she also pointed out another building right next to the one that's still being built which is supposed to be completed next year. It looks taller than the ones already present. Today really gave me hope though. I loved what I saw and will be getting that cash together for them ASAP. (If only this cruise came a month later!) By the way, I got the shock of my life when we were crossing back into the main building and this HUGE hood, NYC, where da cash at sized rat ran across the corridor. This was the construction site and all, and I guess that explains why it was around, however....that sucker caused me to jump bout as high as the Willis Ave bridge. I almost ran past her and out the building, but I controlled myself and made if out alive. LoL! All I can say, to those who have had their interview, be patient. You'll be happy you did. @Stephanie....your right about the bills and responsibility. I'm already trying to create a budget plan for this. I have to really, REALLY start saving and coming up with ways to keep my money. Once I leave, that's it. I'm not trying to come back nor ask for anything. It won't be easy, and yet, it won't be hard either. Life....here I come!

Moonboo...... I'm happy for you as if I was going through the process. Now instead of keeping your closets full your going to keep finding new things to put in the house. About a week ago you were becoming the chick from the exorcist. Minus the head spinning and green vomit. Lmao! But for real just enjoy and have so much fun with it. The beautiful part about having your own is when you don't want to be bothered.....you don't have to. So did they tell you when you had to come in to leave the deposit/rent and to sign the lease?

So I went to the interview yesterday and it was held in the actual two bedroom apt converted into an office apt 3j, anyways we sat and they started to calculate gross income and said that I was over qualified "made to much money" guess they want people who cant pay the rent lmao...the building is very nice in the lobby very clean, I did not see any type of lounge area just normal lobby with mailboxes, the apt are very very small ,.if you have more than one sofa and a large tv may be tight and the sleeping rooms are identical in size .....do not take an apt on yhe third floor if u look out the window u can touch the highway....if space is not a issue and just are looking for a nice clean new small apt then this would work for you, either way good luck to everyone and wish u all the best. P.s. Some guy came to the appointment and said him and his girl had no s.s. Number smh lol make make sure u are a legal citizen or resident and every room had air conditioners and it was still warm

LOL! @ Wruiz...no social?! Really though?! That's crazy...I agree with you on the size of the rooms. The two bedrooms were very small IMO. The lounge area is located on a different floor. It was closed at the time that I got there the lady said, however, I was told that when I returned with my payment I could view it. The outside couryard was VERY nice surprisingly. It looked very clean and manicured. I just HOPE it stays that way. But we all know that's asking for much. I want to know what they're building down behind the building. I see a lot of mack trucks and storage containers and etc. I forgot to inquire if that would be turned into something or if it would remain industrual looking. Also, I do believe that downstairs area is going to become more than a parking lot. It looks like it will become a retail space. She showed me the garage and it didn't look like a huge lot that would take up that entire bottom space. But I could DEFINITELY be wrong.
@ Steph...yes girl. I have to really start getting my things in order. I was told that I would be able to move mid September. Move in date is the 1st, however, I have too much going on with vacay, packing and other obligations. I need more time. I think what I'm going to do now is just get the money to them and in the meantime, get everything together. Like I said before, this summer is VERY hectic and I'm just trying to get on track. Its already a lil' stressful, so i'm just looking forward to vacationing and coming back with a clear head.
