hvaldez213.... Do you have a definite move in date? If you didn't get one you too should be on edge about what may happen to you. As you can see Brucknerchick has been through the same process as you but hers was many months ago but she has yet to move in. I'm not trying to jinx you but I must play Devils Advocate...... Brucknerchick..... I bet the reason they're asking you to resubmit your documents is so that they can actually process you the right way. More than likely your stuff wasn't submitted and ended up in someone's shredder. So now that things have hit the fan and in order for them the move you in legally the city has to go over your paper work. I think they should make special arrangements considering it was their f- up and since you have these made up approval letters with their heading and deposit receipts.

Harlem woman denied affordable housing
December 15, 2010 09:30AM

Monique Holloway (source: DNAinfo)

Despite a boom in affordable housing in the city, wheelchair-bound Monique Holloway says she still hasn't found an apartment after months of searching, mainly because she's been placed on a blacklist of would-be tenants who developers reject because of an old housing court case on their record. According to DNAinfo, Holloway, 42, said she found out she was on the blacklist last summer, when she applied to live in the Tapestry Apartments on 124th Street in East Harlem.

The developer, C&C Management, wrote her a letter saying that she had been denied because an old housing court case showed up on her background check. Even after a judge dismissed her case, she still has not been able to convince the developer to remove her from the blacklist.

"I feel like it's discrimination," she said. A spokesperson for the city Department of Housing Preservation and Development said housing court cases are not supposed to be among the criteria used in developers' selection of tenants.

Earlier this year, the City Council passed the "Tenant Fair Chance Act," which required landlords to provide would-be renters with the names and address of companies they use to screen applicants.

But council members acknowledged they haven't been able to put a stop to the practice.

Oh Yea I'm moving next week. It's on paper signed and everything. Not that it really matters after all the stories I've read in here ..I hope they resolve this issue and everyone is able to get their apt. I kno how stressful this process is. I was looking fordward to all of u being my neighbors bcuz you guys are all hard working individuals and although I'm young I love peace and quiet.

Good morning, deli... no the person is still there... Sandra is my agent but honestly I do not think she has anything to do with my unfortunate discrimination. She has workked hard and I know she has pressed the manage about my file... I may be wrong and confuse bc I'm an emotional reck due to the mess I'm in bc of BBTB.... I been over there every day since last week even if is just a few minutes and I still do not have a solid understading except that my file was never submitted... eventhoug they are saying that it was but the city (HDC) has it on hold.... but my thing is how do you have a file on hold since April ????? I don't know what else to do.. like I don't understand... I'm 24 years old, I have a good job, I'm going to school.... I'm sorry I'm not trying to stereotype but what is that I have to do ??? quit my job, get an abusive man, have his kid(s), get on welfare, and live of the taxpayers (like us) in order to have a stable place to live ???? most young woman my age are not well put together as far as education and employment and I have to go through all this BS???? SMDHHHHH !!!!! I'm so pissed and angry...

what time is anyone going over there ????
