Okay, here's another thing my husband and I disagree on. He feels the only play worth seeing is a musical on or off Broadway. Anywhere else just can't suffice. Why it has to be a musical, I don't know, but to him, it just does.
As for me, I'm probably most interested in a drama -- and less likely a comedy. A musical-drama is fine or even a full fledged musical is okay, but it doesn't have to be a musical! Also, I feel there have got to be GREAT productions OFF/OFF Broadway, and we are trying to cut costs wherever we can. I know about TKTS but I'm guessing some productions would be even less expensive than what all is offered through them.
What is your opinion of OFF/OFF Broadway productions? Are they satisfying or disappointing compared to On/Off Broadway? (This is coming from people who never get to see anything like this but a few times in our entire lives.) And do you have any recommendations of something to see? We and our two teenagers will be trying to see something this coming week.
