More than a thousand flights have been canceled at NY airports... Wonder if anyone here has had travel plan these days?

i can not get into New York city from bay area airport our flight was going to leave in the morning at 8.am on monday morning but we where told that it might be a few more days before we get into city ..it wet and rainy here and it will that way for the next couple of days

Yes! Was headed to London. Sat on a plane on the runway at JFK for 3 hours then had to wait another hour for the plane to be towed back in to the gate. Not sure why they didn't cancel the flight in the first place as all the others got canceled. Got told to get off and get our cases but they couldn't get them out as the equipment wasn't working (they let us know after 2 hours!); we then waited another hour to be taken to a hotel near the airport since there was no transport to the city. Nothing was happening so we finally found a cab driver who was willing to drive a bunch of us home for $50 each. Got back an hour ago. Bet the other passengers are still waiting at the terminal. Have to go back to the airport tomorrow to try again or at least get our cases!

Was lucky. Had a flight out of JFK yest(Sun the 26th) but was early (830). Left on time and landed early. I missed the cancellations by just a little I was told

Boarded our flight last night, sat for 2 hours there, then got told to leave the plane and head back to the terminal, qued for 2 hours for a food voucher then a further hour for Maccys. Slept for an hour on the floor kept on waking myself up and now waiting till 5pm till we're supposed to try again, camped outside the BA First Class Lounge blagging the wifi.

16 inches of snow, Maddest storm I ever saw, BA employee said she hasn't seen it this bad since 1969.

Just saw JFK on TV--they expect the first planes to maybe go out at 4:30 today, but some people are going to be stuck for a few days.
