Yea...311 is good about certain things...like maintenance, removals, and light repairs...they've gotten some Stop signs and street name signs replaced on my street..no matter how many times they've been vandalized lol
In NYC Bloomberg started a phone system 311 for noise complaints ETC...
You can't call the police anymore which is the dumbest thing he did
Disagree with the above.
311 is a very good idea/service.
Also disagree with the thread title and premise "Bloomberg's Policy contributes to NYC high unemployment ". This premise implies that without Bloomberg we would have less unemployment.... guess what? NYC's unemployment rate is below national average and below other big cities like LA or Chicago. It is 100% not Bloomberg's fault that the national economy is in the ****ter. This whole thing is bigger than a city mayor and out of his control.
Ok when Giuliani was in the mayor office he did something like that where he moved the police from the slower areas to higher crime areas and did the what was called no nonsense policeing with the socalled bad guys and girls ..
PLus he was really tough on the citys unions also if i remember right ..

TRY CALLING 311 ON A NOISE COMPLAINT
SO YOU ARE SAYING BLOOMBERG IS HELPING NY BY ALLOWING ILLEGALS TO WORK HERE INSTEAD OF AMERICANS.
I don't disclose where I live, but if you call 311 on a noise complaint. They have up to 8 hours to respond and thats if they respond.
If they do, it's too late!
