Default Landlord faked damage evidence. Small claims court?

Hi,
After I moved out I had to wait 2 months to get my security deposit check back and call the landlord several times. When I got the check it was missing almost half of the deposit. When I called the landlord (which is management company) they said there was damage done to the gas range and it had to be replaced. I came to their office to see the pictures and it was not of my stove, though same color. The model of the stove was slightly different and I have my own pictures to prove it. When I asked the management to provide me with the photo of the stove they showed on the pic inside the apartment they never sent me such a pic. I got them to email me only the photo of what they claim is my stove really upclose where the gas handles are and you could not see the surroundings. If I take them to small claims court will it affect my ability to rent from other landlords in the future as they will be looking and seeing that I filed claims about previous landlord.

no the reporting agencies only have scumbags culling the housing and/or supreme court housing cases.
