In two weeks, we're attending a function in Bergen County by day and a party on Fulton St. in South Street Seaport at night. Where can we stay in NJ that's easily accessible to the Seaport? Do any NJ hotels offer van service to the Seaport area?

van service would be quite unusual, there really isn't a place that is convinient to both bergan county and lower manhattan, if you can figure out how to get to bergan county there are hotels in JC next to the PATH stations at exchange place and at newport that would be easy to return to from NY

Thanks for response! What is Jersey City like? Safe place to stay? Would it be feasible to get a taxi from there to Seaport? Any idea what that would cost? Would it be possible to get taxi back?

Jersey City Hotels, New Jersey Accommodations & Room Reservations - Hyatt Regency Jersey City This hotel is on the waterfront in the financial district in Jersey City with gorgeous views of Manhattan. The first Path train stop which is right there takes you to the stop where the twin towers went down. There's also a ferry across by the hotel that brings you in near the Native American Museum. Both are in the Wall Street area from which you can walk across lower Manhattan to the Seaport, or have the hotel arrange 'car service' for you from either spot after you're in Manhattan as you might not find too many taxis there in the evening.
They have valet parking and are on the light rail line which runs a couple of blocks up to a large mall. The area around the hotel is very nice and safe and the view at night will be spectacular. The concierge can arrange for a tour bus, tickets, information, or whatever you need. |
