Best professors, challenging curriculum, facilities, NYS teacher exam pass rates, student teaching opportunities? (Elementary Ed. major.) Who produces the strongest all-around teachers? Also, residence hall a must (not from NYC). Some new ones are popping up?

Queens College or Hunter College are both great schools for education degrees. Queens College recently opened dorms this past fall.
