There's hardly ever I line when I go, and the hipsters of Williamsburg have long since been replaced with the same apathetic counter people that work every other minimum wage-paying establishment in the city.
Dry ass cupcakes with overly sweet icing... No thanks.

I love sugar, but their icing is way to dry and sweet for me.
I like Betty Crocker better, in my own kitchen for half the price, no line and a free cup of coffee.
I've always been told to go to Magnolia but never had any desire. If I want a cupcake and am too lazy to make them, I'll get one from the cafe with the stony-faced cashier a block from my apartment.
I love cupcakes, but I haven't made it to Magnolia. I have read on countless over sites that it is overrated. Plus the line is always long whenever I do happen to pass by, so I haven't bothered.
Crumbs is not at the #1 spot for cupcakes in NYC, but it is my favorite.
