Supermarkets, yeah right. This NYC and everyone wants a quick check. Who cares about what happens later. If anything I see more housing. I know they are adding more buildings to the Pink Houses over in East NY. They just finished a few new housing projects in the Bronx. I see section 8 in the future of those lots, if they are used for any kind of construction.

1) What private developer who buys those lots in the PJs is gonna want to build housing.......smack in the middle of the PJ's? Accross the street, maybe. But not in those lots that are right in the complex.

There are a couple PJ's across the country that have low income townhouses built right into the PJ complex. So you might have 4 highrises, and 2 townhouses between them.

Personally I don't think anything should be build. They are dense as it is.
