Sorry, I"m just not getting it. Blocks that have no active storefronts or activities or neatly sculpted lawns are "the worst street corners" in NY??? Sure, you might not want to be caught there at midnight, but what else makes them so bad? Ive seen a LOT of places that look worse... right near where I live (no, sorry, no pics to back that up!).

Hey Sobro! I think I responded to a post of yours over on a smoking-related thread last night! Might want to take a look and respond!

Third Post: All new or renovated housing, and 1 remaining lot.

Fourth: Being renovated for rentals, the rest are rehabbed housing.

Fifth: That's a wack block.

Sixth: Ehh....1 remaining lot.

Seventh: That particular block is industrial...that should not count.

The only ones that may be considered "rough" is the fifth and the first..the others are just not rough. Surely you can do better than that.
Well, I cant. This is Mott Haven today. And in my opinion its still a dark, crime infested, vicious ghetto, with focus on high-density low income housing. The large amount of projects inhibits positive changes on a larger scale.

Yuck. Most of these corners remind me of Philadelphia!

Whoa it just clicked to me. Did Jay-Z name himself after the subway line? I know he's from around there, just never thought about it.
