I live in Manhattan and frequently drive around city. Having an underground parking garage in my residential building makes everything so much easier.

We do too, but we do not drive around Manhattan because you have to park somewhere when you go places. We refuse to park our car on the street, which means we are paying ridiculous hourly rates at garages. It's bad enough paying the car payment, insurance, and monthly garage rental at out apartment. We could easily spend another $300 a month on parking if we took the car everywhere instead of the subway.
