I think the real problem is with American Idol, not The Bronx.

And incidentally, it's hilarious to see all these people who list their locations as other than NYC weighing in on which borough has character.

So if your location on CD says anything other than NYC you can't have an opinion about it?
Might I ask how old you are and how long you have been living there?

Oh so because somebody currently does not live in a particular area they can't have an opinion on it? Makes sense........

This is fair point and I understand where your coming from. The point I'm making is that the Bronx may be a culture shock for many from the hinterlands of American. For some being on a crowded train and being in the minority may be a strange experience and the Bronx in general may be a strange experience.

I'm from Wisconsin and believe me a train ride through the South Bronx would be a culture shock for 90% of the population. Not trying to upset anyone here, it just the way I see it.

I understand this, but this kid was using threatening language towards a teenage girl. I've been on the NYC subway hundreds of time. I have family all over NYC and I've experienced idiots before, but this guy was the absolute worst. I thought it may come to violence and the family I spoke of was five feet away. I'm sure most of you have seen this before. It's the dark side of subway travel, when the train is moving you are at the mercy of our fellow passengers.
