I don't know the first thing about finding out where there is adequate day care services while we search for a home. As well as and especially about the COST!
We're moving out of NYC to queens (or western LI like New Hyde Park) because Public Schools in NYC are a huge hassle and life has become too expensive living in Midtown East. Anybody out there can lend some help?

What about getting your child into public school? Is it easy? Do you just get in as long as you live in the right area, or do you have to apply like in Manhattan?

looking at school districts 26 & 22, as well as Herricks. If you know others are very good please respond as well.

thanks!!
