Moving to midtown nyc
i'm moving from tulsa to midtown (clinton) in 2 weeks. I have lived in apartments all my life and have always seen some bugs here and there but whats the deal with the roaches and mice and rats in new york city? are they really everywhere in the pre war apartment buildings? Please share your stories of unwated apartment critters and also how you got rid of them and what part of the city you live in! Thanks!!

yes, there are pests, and if your landlord doesn't hire an exterminator every few months you will have a population explosion during the warmer months. during the winter the rodents will seek warmth in your building as well.

I live in a pre-war building, and have for years. I've never had either a roach or a rodent problem.

Get the comet push gel. Put it EVERYWHERE. Hope you don't have a cat. KEEP putting it everywhere. It worked for me.

Very, very lucky. Where the hell do you live?
Stay clean and it will keep the bug problem to a minimum. Roach bait, gel, and a cat can help you make sure this problem doesn't explode in yoru face. You can only do so much, your neighbors and the age of the building play a big part.

Unfortunately even if you keep a spotless apartment, if your neighbors are slobs and have pests, you will be affected as well.
