I already know Park Slope and Crown Heights geographically border each other so there is no point to argue about this with somebody. Most people that live in Park Slope and Crown Heights agree with me.

I know they are such different neighborhoods it is hard for some people to believe that they are next to each other like that geographically.
With your argument, the Upper West Side borders the Upper East Side even though they're separated by Central Park. Don't disgrace the forum with this crap.

.

I was the person that created this awesome thread.

Why are you getting mad at me and saying such mean and unfair things just because I disagreed with someone about two neighborhoods that border each other?"Dont disgrace the forum with this crap."That is such a mean and unfair thing to say.

Also, Upper East Side and Upper West Side do border each other in most people's opinions along Central Park.

Last time I checked, people are allowed to have different opinions about what neighborhoods border each other and which ones don't.

Bedord Park is nice. Too bad you are the only one to spew negative things about the area. You're right, you are entitled to opinion just like anyone else. Too bad your opinion is not accurate!

The only thing this thread proves is your very superficial knowledge of NYC. It would not be a big deal, except for the very strong opinions you've formed about certain neighborhoods - and the people who live in them - based on that superficial knowledge.

That is your opinion. Yes, you are entitled to it but I am also entitled to my opinion about it.

No, I am not the only one that thinks that about Bedford Park. I know many people that would agree with me that Bedford Park is not that great and they also would not put it in their favorite neighborhoods in New York list and many would still put it in their least favorite neighborhoods list.

I have different opinions than you do about that neighborhood. Why do you seem to enjoy nagging on with this topic over and over again?

Stop making inaccurate negative generalizations about me like that.

People have the right to form their own strong opinions about certain neighborhoods and have the right to say their favorite neighborhoods and their least favorite neighborhoods.

I can't believe you actually seem mad at me that I have different opinions than you do about different neighborhoods and seem mad that I created this thread asking people what their favorite neighborhoods and least favorite neighborhoods are in New York.

I had many posts where I agreed with other people's posts on certain neighborhoods, and if someone had different opinions about a certain neighborhood than I did as long as they were also civil about it we accepted and respected each other's opinions.

But no, you dont want to be civil about this it seems like.

Here are some facts, not opinions....Union Square is not part of Soho, nor does it border Soho. Park Slope does not border Crown Heights, it borders Prospect Heights. These areas have established boundaries set up by the city and Community Boards. It is not something of opinion where people "feel" like this neighborhood ends here or begins here. Even a stroll through these areas and you will physically see the difference in demographics and architecture in many of these areas.

^^

To add to the above, the UES and the UWS do not boder each other. That pesky area known as Central Park between the two of them exists and that's not a matter of opinion.

Why would I need to be mad about something in order to point out that you seem to be wrong about various assumptions you've made regarding neighborhoods and the people that live in them?

Sorry, but I still disagree with these geographic borders for those neighborhoods.

I feel like Park Slope borders both Crown Heights and Prospect Heights.
Fine. Soho is south of Union Square but Union Square still seems part of Noho and Noho does border Soho.
Also, Upper East Side and Upper West Side do border each other right along Central Park.

And if that is officially how some(but not all) websites claim it to be, then I just disagree with those claims.

A lot of it is determined by people getting a feel for where a particular neighborhood ends and where it begins. Yes. That is my point. A stroll through those neighborhoods do show the physical differences in demographics and architecture in many of those areas.

Anyways, this is honestly becoming off topic. This thread is about favorite and least favorite neighborhoods in New York, not about the geographic border for different neighborhoods.

No. You made it seem like it was about much more than that. Just making a lot of negative generalizations for how I view neighborhoods in general, even if I may be wrong about a few neighborhoods and some other stuff. (However, I still don't think I am wrong with this case.)

This can be true for anybody with not being able to 100% know every neighborhood in every way.
I admit I can be wrong a few times but this is true for everybody. People cant be right 100% of the time.

And plus this seems like this is getting off topic.
