I need to replace about 7-8 vinyl floor tiles in my apartment. There is a home center in my area in Kingsbridge on Broadway and 237th street. Does anyone know how much they(any similar place) charge for each tile and what you use to glue them on? I guess I can ask the super but if I could do it on my own it might be better

I know I can call them but I thought I'd find out first from the boards

Some of the vinyl tiles are self-stick, where you peel the back off the tile and set it in place. Others need to be glued down with an adhesive.

You're not too far from Home Depot in Yonkers (underneath the Costco that's down the hill from Stew Leonard), since Home Depot does sell a variety of the tiles. Sometimes, you have to buy tiles by the box, even vinyl tiles, if they do not have open stock of the tile you want. However, it's an inexpensive proposition, not more than a couple of dollars per square foot. A box would be around $20 or so, give or take.

Locally, there's another hardware store on Riverdale Avenue, at 259th, across from the Skyview area. It's on the right hand headed north between the Greentree and the post office. It's a nice, local hardware store where you can get answers to questions, which is not always the easiest proposition at some of the larger box stores like HD.

You're welcome. Glad you're back without any of the problems.

I have seen that store, but have not gone into it. I would think that they should have some tile too.

You are correct, Cora Hardware is what I am thinking of.
