Default Car insurance is really expensive.

I really need to get the hell out of the City. Everything is going up.

My insurance premiums went up big time. I called up State Farm and they said that it was nationwide. They also said that a lot of insurance companies also went up.

What sort of car do you have and what are you paying? I've got a 2006 V6 Accord with leather and nav system. I park on the street in Harlem and pay $110 a month to Geico for full coverage with roadside assistance, rental car coverage, and lower deductibles/greater coverage than standard.

Less than $1400 for full coverage from GEICO! For a 5/6 year old car parked on the street in HARLEM.

A little hard to believe, how old are you, how long have you been driving, what's your deductible, and what have you lied to the insurer about?

I logged into my account and took a screen shot of my coverage. The $669 figure is every six months, so it boils down to $111.50 per month. I actually have it set up as four quarterly payments of $339.65

Actually I'm glad you got me to log in. I just upped my uninsured motorist coverage from 25/50 to 50/100 the other day and I see it hasn't taken affect for some reason.

I was a pedestrian late last year and got struck by a vehicle. That personal injury protection part of my policy waaaay more than paid for itself right there.

I'm a 27 year old male.

...and does the vehicle have NY plates?? lol. Seriously though this guy got a good deal. I've been shopping around myself and I can't seem to get anything under $5,000 a year for coverage and I live in Queens.

So if it's a nationwide thing, which nation are you going to where the rates are lower?

Other than your age, you really didn't answer the questions, but no matter, the first paragraph above gets to the point.

Your deductible mattars much in determining your premium.

At any rate, the 25/50 coverage is one reason your premium is relatively reasonable. That's not much coverage, and any semi-serious accident will be beyond that limit. Too risky for me.

In addition to that, I can only wonder what else you've chintz on.
