Many people who ask questions about neighborhoods on this forum(which is allright) especially on low-income areas are already scared and anxious about the whole thing. They will sadly never check the area out. You could say that their "Spidey sense" has already gone off.
CORRECTION: Mean that their "Spidey sense" is turned on.

Lois Lane you may want to reach out to the "Mayor of Melrose" who runs a blog and has lived in the area forever. You can google it and he will be happy assist you. The blog is Welcome2Melrose

I have known him for a very, very long time and nobody knows the neighborhood better than he. Ignore the other posters on here..and consult with the "Mayor."

I am not sure what that last comment was for...good luck with the real estate biz? But I can say that Melrose in the Bronx is becoming the shining star of the Bronx and the model for affordable housing not only across the city but the country.

I am a professional in the real estate industry..I do commercial real estate leasing in midtown manhattan (no residential). It had nothing to do with out conversation however...and has zero to do with my opinions regarding the Bronx.
