Wow! I decided to do the same exact thing and will be moving from Los Angeles, California to NYC. Stay positive, optimistic and know that everything will work out. What you think about, you bring about. You can try checking out jobs online as well as going to employment agencies once you arrive. Goodluck

do it!
make sure to research all the boroughs though and diff neighborhoods in them and then come see them live to see what works best with you, a lot depends on if you will wanna have a car or not, if you wanna live in a more suburban area or not, etc
15k should cover you for bout 6 months if you are wise bout it
you're educated and already have relevant job exp so it should make it easier when you look for a job here and as you said worst case, you can always go back
i moved here last yr in a way worse position than you and im aight so go for it

Agreed. Many people have moved here making a new start. The job market here has been better then many cities, But make sure you have living expenses and live lean when starting. We have to often take risks in life, Just be prepared and ready as possible. There is a difference between having a cushion and just sling a backpack and arriving with no plan.
