hey guys. Did anyone else take this test? I didnt think it was overly difficult, but I left my calculator at home so it took me twice as long as it should have.

Lets try to keep this thread alive until we get our test results in order to compare.

i took it too, i thought the exam's difficulty was reasonable. i'm concerned that the city government is not really hiring, probably just adding on to their waiting list... don't think there's much hope in getting the job in the coming 1-2 years. what do you think?

I took this test too, but I don't really care that much if I get hired or not, since I already work for the city. I took it "just in case". I noticed there were quite a few people there standing in line who already work for the city or that are provisionals from DCAS.

i can only speculate, so who knows what their true intentions are. even in good times, government is very inefficient and would also probably take at least a year to hire someone onto this post. however, something tells me that you had to score in the top 5 or something to even have a shot at this job.

did anyone receive their scores yesterday?? my list # is in the 30s, so not sure how optimistic I should be. If anyone can provide details about when they start getting called in for interviews, it would be most appreciated! Good luck to all.

I subscribe to the Chief online edition. Here is the latest info.

ASSISTANT RETIREMENT BENEFITS EXAMINER—10 eligibles between Nos. 172 and 270 on List 6078, and Nos. 2 to 98 on List 1049 for 3 jobs at New York City Employees’ Retirement System.

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services established a 656-name list for Assistant Retirement Benefits Examiner on March 21, 2012.
The list is based on Exam 1049, which was given in May 2011.

The last time I published a list on here from the Chief some paranoid guy sent me a direct message on here asking me to remove his name, I told
him that I couldn't, besides it's public record.
