Is there a tax on health clubs in new york city? (pool, discounts)

my company works with new york sports club and we got deep discounts if we sign up to it. The memberships are all access and work with all health clubs, but I am wondering if it would be better for me to sign up to one in new york city because new jersey does have a tax on health clubs.

Some are taxed and some aren't depending on whether or not they are "sports oriented...those with a pool escape the tax.
Paterson proposed that ALL clubs be taxed but I don;t know whether that bird flew or not.

I too was mightily pissed back in NJ when they glued a 7% tax onto my already high gym cost.

(I don't think I'm paying a tax now at NYSC, maybe beccasue they have a pool?)
