Remember too, many of the City's finest attractions, Bronx Zoo, MOMA, Metropolitan Museum, have corporate sponsor programs that allow employees in free with an ID card from work.
Worth checking if you work for a major corporation especially at MOMA or Brooklyn Botannic Garden where there is NO suggested donation, just a fee.
Pay what you wish means just that...these places are run on foundation, federal, state, and city money...and thus we all pay dearly. If you pay $1 admission to get into the Metropolitan, nobody will bat an eye.
This summer i want to take a Wednesday off to bike from my apartment in Riverdale to The Bronx Zoo. is admission still free on Wednesday? Can you take a bike past the admission part or do you have to lock it up?
Can you take a bike on the Fordham Univ campus? I have an alumni card from the Social Work school(Lincoln Center) which I attended 20 years ago. or are bikes off limits, alumni or not?
My route would be to take Mosholu Pkwy to the old Ted Kazimiroff Blvd into Southern Blvd to the zoo's 182 street entrance.
Would I be safe on S. Blvd between Fordham Rd and 182 street on a bike(I mean in terms of being a crime victim)?
I love all of these Bronx threads asking about is it safe to go to such and such place.
