ATTENTION: READ before you JUDGE!!! Thank u....

Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew of someone in the brooklyn borough, preferably bedstuy or bushwick, who are renting a room? I tried Craigslist but a lot turned out to mlbe scams unfortunately. I'm a young single mom, full time student and fulltime employment. I'll be finished school next week and hopefully 3 weeks after that i will be recieving my Emt license in the mail!!

But yea ive been renting from this nice old lady for almost a year, but unfortunately this month her lease is up, which means my lease is up! She doesnt want to renew but I dont blame her. Kind of a shytty area.

But if anyone.knows of anybody or program that can help me, feel free to drop ke a message. I've filled out some applications and even paid a fee a few times only to be slammed. So please be legit, cuz I really don't want to have to kick anyone's ass for bull****ting me( very serious about that statement)Thanx!

I wish I could offer some advice to your situation. At one point I was on craigslist heavy but nothing would come through. Room agencies have too many scams and for the prices of some its ridiculous, enough for your own apt. I was even trying to get a 2 bed apt to rent out the next bedroom for a single mom or vise versa but no one responded. All I can say is good luck with your search and please keep me informed because I still have to leave my apt before I give birth.

Hmm the advice you gave me seems like you may have to you it yourself. Good Luck mama, we can do this...and we will!

You can either pay for an agent.

or

Go by the neighborhoods that you want to rent in and walk around the corner stores, laundries, cafes etc. I've found some good local deals that way.

Although single moms generally are short on time. Perhaps paying an agent 1 month rent spread across the life of the lease is a good way to get some nice apartment deals.
