Parts of the NorthWest Bronx have pretty cheap apartments. There are two apartments in my building no one has lived in for over two months, one is a studio and the other is a two bedroom. 2 bedroom is $1200 a month and studio is $700 (?) so I figure you'll find more apartments with those prices in the area.
My neighborhood has a growing young population, most of whom used to live in Manhattan, if 20ish people is your thing.
thanks for all the help. i wasn't planning on manhattan, i know it cost a bundle. im just looking for good neighborhoods with young people.
Try Kingbridge Heights or Fordham. Tons of young people and affordable too
