The oldest is NOT in Washington DC. The DC memorial was dedicated in November 1982.
Rosedale's Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated on Memorial Day 1968.

Twenty years ago, I did research, but I forget. The first memorial beats Rosedale's memorial by a couple of months.
Eight years ago, I built a simple website to the Rosedale Memorial at:
The*Spirit*Lives*On .

I loved Bargain Town when I was a kid they had the best toy department. I always wanted that telephone set they used to have. I think the toys today are boring compared to what we used to have.

I live just on the border or Laurelton and Rosedale, a couple block off merrick near the bridge over the Cross Island. The Rosedale I know sounds nothing like the place you guys remember.

a lot of my best friends live up on Franny Lew near Hillside and we frequent Gaby's all the time. personally, i think the place down hear in rosedale next to the rite aid and the bank on sunrise highway is much better, but Gaby's has served us many times as pre-party hangout spot. it's gotten a bit more crowded i guess since they mounted that rachel ray banner, but since we're mostly there at night, it's usually not so bad.

I visit Rosedale every now and then. It's still a beautiful place. Sadly, a number of the historical old homes are torn down though.
The VFW building is still on Francis Lewis near Sunrise. Is it still active?
Delphi Forums has a couple of Rosedale forums. They get a number of posters too.
