The Seagull bar was on the corner of Lansing Ave. and South Conduit. It's name was changed to Pierre's in the mid to late '60's. There was a strip of stores there along South Conduit, a butcher shop I think called Louie's, Marie's candy store, a deli, I seem to remember a pet shop and a few other stores. I lived around the corner on Edgewood Ave. I never worked at Burger and Shake but I used to hang out there and we used to drink beer behind the Blum factory and then either go over to Green Acres or hop the drive-in fence to watch the movie.
There was one midway on Central between Merrick and Sunrise on the west side of the street . Hung there for awhile , it had a pool table .
The owner of that bar went on to own "Kate's Saloon" on Hook Creek Blvd. I knew her brother.

Noel was an awesome bartender. He went on to the Pit Stop, then Kate's Saloon. He also drove for Danny's for a while.
There was a Bar on Brookville near St. Clare's... what was it called? "Hueys" or something?

I lived on 142nd and Brookville, hopped the fence to Beacon Day Camp all the time...thanks for that memory
Always struck me as odd that the Beacon Camp burned down with a firehouse directly across the street.
Anyone remember JR's Pub on 243rd?
