Catholic Elementary School on Staten Island
Hi,
I have older children that have graduated from Tottenville HS. The school is horrendous. I have two younger children and already have made the decision that they will go to Catholic School for 6th grade and above. They are currently in 2nd and 3rd grade and my husband an I have been thinking about putting them in Catholic School this Sept. so they adjust and grow up now with the children. I will be looking at St.Joseph-St.Thomas this week and St.Clare's next week but would like to hear from parents from any Catholic schools as to your thoughts.
Thanks in advance. :-)

I went to Catholic school for 13 years. The time wasted on RELIGION could have been far better used for teaching actually USEFUL things. I'd rather have learned about how politics works in the U.S, than the inner workings of the Blessed Trinity!
Catholic school is very good for Catholic indoctrination and discipline, little else. Don't destroy your children's ability to think.

I couldn't disagree with you more.
OP, check out this website which I think will be useful to you. You can set your own parameters in the search once you are in. I'd also wait to hear from posters from Staten Island for their personal opinions. Good luck to you and your kids!
