Unfortunately I wouldn't qualify. I'm a single educated white female who is trying to do better for herself and working full time. The government doesn't help people like us.
So if you were a single educated BLACK woman doing good for herself, what would be the difference?

It depends. If you're African (black) you can claim refugee status and pretty much have everything handed to you. But the truth is, I was just being sarcastic, so move it along. The bottom line is--if you're a productive and intelligent member of society, you won't get a penny from the government.

I've chatted with a couple people who have it and consider it the bargain of the century. If you qualify incomewise, JUMP at it. It is substantially state subsidized.

Healthy NY coverage costs vary from county to county and by the month in which you enroll. They also offer different options of coverage. In New York County for example, minimum coverage costs around $250 monthly for an individual and $738 for a family. Options with more benefits run from $368 for an individual to $1,088.00 for a family. Enrollees may also consider a plan with a high deductible to lower monthly r
I'm happy to hear your income is way over those limits.
Paying out of pocket is fine unless you falll and break several bones...for about $50,000. Or find a tumor on your breast....$100,000.
Insurance is to protect against catastrophes that you DON'T know about.
