New Yorkers LOVE!!!! parades. Tomorrow there will be a parade to commemorate Gays' Rights. I am happy for all of them. I know what bias is.....first hand, and what it can do to people's psyches, even when they are in this country LEGALLY. So I can sympathize with their joy.

I'm happy too. My best friend in the world is a gay man. I can't wait until the last of the so-called "greatest generation" are gone so he can enjoy the same rights as everyone else, nationwide.

I'm not gay but I can say that I am glad that New York state is helping gays and thus other freedoms become more free. If you're in New York now then I hope your party goes well I know if I were there I'd like to see it even if I am not gay.

I AM "the greatest generation" and GAY to boot. It is OUR hard work that has finally stopped gay people from being locked up for felonies..like consentual sex.
Gay right did NOT happen overnight and it was adult q u e e r s 42 YEAR ago that overturned and burned police cars in the Stonewall riot and ushered in the first inkings of GAY RIGHTS. If those queens were 20 years old then, they are 62 years old now, if they were 30 then they are 72 today and they have been working diligently for the last 42 years.

So remember you kids...you are the BENEFICIARIES of a lot of hard work by those who were tossed out of jobs if someone said they were gay, who were IMPRISONED, if caught having sex who were dishonerably discharged as mental defectives if they were gay in the Army.
You did NOTHING to get us where we are today.

When born on third base, never assume you hit a triple.

So say THANKS to those who made it possilbe!

Nationwide? Pressure must be put on Obama to be something other than Bush Lite! HE thinks gay rights should be won state by state...just like Black rights. Oh sorry, they were won on a federal level. Maybe someone should TELL him.
