recently went on an interview and had to listen to this...

interviewer #1: oh, so you live in uhhhh...east elmhurst *confused look* that's all the way out in long island, right?
me: no, that's in queens
interviewer #1: oh right, I'm not like a city snob or anything, it's just that I don't know all the little town names
interviewer #2: no, I think it's that east elmhurst is in queens and plain old elmhurst is in long island
me: (of course fake smiling tho, hey I was on an interview)

yep, this is from two transplants who most likely refer to themselves as new yorkers
