The funny thing is that you think I would have not helped that man because I am black or hispanic... You see that is what makes you ignorant. The fact that you see this one story and you think all of us are the same as is the case with many white folk and can be a potential reason why stories like this happen... again not condoning it, just saying that it does **** certain people off... personally, I wouldn't lose my cool over petty words because in my old neighborhood there was enough problems without being a punk over somebody saying something to me...

@ Coolchris if you knew my views on these matters you'd realize that our opinions are not as far off as you make them to be... while Seanmcmahon is a blatant racist, I can tell from your posts that you are genuinely angered by this incident and this stems more from how you feel about the way minorities are treated moreso than what happened, because let's be honest stuff like this happens all the time to all different sorts of races in this city...

I am with you that government handouts and things of the sort only help to cripple the people on it and make them lazy and give them an excuse not to work while others are bending over backwards to support their families... But I have a message for you, that is not all of us... My father worked three jobs and my mother worked two jobs to help us to move out of East NY in the early 90s to Woodhaven and once our neighborhood in Woodhaven turned a little shady we moved again to Ridgewood...

We didn't mooch off welfare or section 8 or claimed disability to not work... We busted our *** for everything we received and it pisses me off today when I see minority kids say how hard they got it when there on welfare and still rocking 20 pairs of kicks and have an iphone and blackberry with an outfit to match...

All that being said, while I respect where you come from and I am with you on certain points you gotta let that misplaced anger go and realize that it is only a select group of people that continue to do this and while the hiphop culture has greatly affected the way black youth sees themselves many others have realized that is not the way and have made a success out of themselves and are currently living in various different parts of this city being productive members of society, myself included... Don't let this one incident blind you to that is all I'm saying

Then why was it one of the leading stories on the page of today's daily news?

Furthermore, what does this incident have to do with "black statistics?" Sounds like you're just trying to rile yourselves up, similar to what white klansmen did way back when, only this time without the alcohol.

THus far, we have nothing but his story. We have no witnesses (made public anyway) and only his word that he was racially attacked by a group of black youth and a bystander. He "fingered" the bystander as a culprit, but there is no shred of evidence that anyone "black" did anything to him anyway. All this and white people are ready to burn down the city lol...Rosewood anyone?

Dude nobody is saying (paraphrasing) "all black and brown people are welfare mooching, lazy pieces of **** who do nothing to contribute to society".
