my interview was 2 weeks ago and it was pretty short. He looked through my paper work, and said I would need a co-signer. Sent in my co-signer's information and was told next day that the building owners were looking through my file and if my co-signer had any other savings account, which she didnt. Havent heard back from since. womp womp.

Update: I did receive a call for an interview, and I currently live in the Bronx. I shall set-up and update you after the interview.

I'm curious to see if the first floor will have any retail or restaurants. I hope there is a deli or a good lunch place.

Not at all. I cannot get into this housing anyway as I already own a place. But since the affordable housing initiative is transforming my community (and probably a host of others in the city), I want to learn about the process firsthand and advise others.

I know you own already....so are you going to go and ask specific questions, or pretend you're interested and just let them lead you along?

I will be asking specific questions, as well as pretend I am interested and go as far down the process as I can.

I went for an interview in the beginning of July, submitted all of my paperwork, you have to get approved by both the building (Related) and the city, we received approval from the building and waiting to hear from the city, they said by the end of August we should have received a letter if we got accepted or not. The waiting is killing me! Anyone else heard back yet if they got approved or not?

The building is getting closer to completion. Most of the brickwork on the outer facade is done except for the area around the construction elevator--and drywall is not being installed. It looks like the top units will have terraces. Nice.
