Oh puleeze!! It is racism plain & simple. These transplanted yuppies should move back to the midwest or California if it is too noisy for them.

Aren't these limosine liberals who love the city for its diversity some of the biggest racists but never want to admit it??

I am sure that they would rather have more Starbucks or more clothing stores that sell $500 Jeans since life for these harlem newcomers is all about shopping & spending money and anything that resembles narcissistic greed.

I agree with the locals in this case. The drumming has been going on in the park for years. The luxury condo people want to live in a bubble. The sad thing is since they are rich they will more than likely make the right calls and massage the right egos in order to get what they want.

These pro-diversity liberal D-bags will maintain the pro-diversity posture for as long as it keeps them on the high ground in their mind and in discussions. Most of them live in segregated places like for example Westchester or Manhattan where your wealth is your protection rather than your fists.

However expose them to some in your face working class/welfare class street culture and compromise their safety and they are the first to cry out like b-itches for the lily white suburb's where they were reared. These people have paid no dues and the diversity diatribe they spew is borne out of a textbook not out of experience. It is a line of brainwashing pushed in public elementary/high schools/colleges. It makes people feel like they are better than the experienced urban crowd that still accepts the god given truth that racism is a part of human nature and will remain that way for the future.

Much of this diversity training is repeated verbatim in forums like this. Many think they are on the cutting edge, ahead of the curve of those that grew up with more experience than brainwashing. Everyone of them has the same lines strait from the diversity training class.

If you went to real mixed school in a working class area you can remember being cordial with the other races but you broke bread with your own kind and shed blood with your own kind.

This is similar to residents of the "revitalized" Lower East Side--Alphabet City is now replete with sidewalk cafes, bars, etc--and the new monied residents start complaining about the fact that there's too much noise at night, crowds, etc. But in that case it's mainly whites. Yeah, that article made my blood boil.
