Best (and cheapest) happy hour spots in NYC
Hey,
I've been doing happy hour lately but I am kind of a virgin to it. I've done happy hour at places like T.G.I.F. in Manhattan and 34st and at my local bars in the Bronx (Jimmy Ryans) and in Broolyn I go to Lucky 13 Saloon.
I'm trying to know other places in Manhattan (pretty much anywhere) that have happy hour at decent prices and the drinks strong enough. Somewhere where its casual and laid back. Someone has to know!
Thanks!

Jake's Dilemma and The Gin Mill are both on the Upper West Side, somewhere around 81st and Amsterdam, both have great prices and are pretty fun. They're owned by the same person/group.
Everyday from 11:30 to 8pm, everything is half price, then during the week from 8pm to close they have other specials depending on the day, like $3 draft beers (but good stuff, not just bud/miller/whatever).
I go there with a friend of mine fairly often. We'll each get 3 pretty decent quality beers and our whole tab will be $18. Not bad. The have fairly decent prices on food, too.

I like Turtle Bay in Midtown. It's a frat bar, but the drink prices are disgustingly cheap. They also have $1 beers on Wednesday nights. I spend $10-15 there and walk out with a pretty good buzz. I also go to boozbucks.com, i get sick deals for a lot bars across the the city

If you want to venture into Greenpoint, go the Mark Bar on Manhattan Avenue. They have all day happy hour from 10-8 with three dollar beers.

There are plenty of bars on the Lower East Side that have great drink and appetizer specials for HH.
Los Feliz and Tweeds to name a couple.
