Describe Soundview in the Bronx? (De Witt, Lawrence: theater, school, professionals)

Near the corners of St. Lawrence and Gleeson avenue... I saw channel 7 news reporting it...

Either way, I don't think the pregnant woman was the intended target... If you're a drug dealer and you're killing off your competition, learn how to freaking shoot... you don't shoot a pregnant woman...

Elder Ave. has been one of the worst spots, for a looooong time now. The closer to Bronx River the worse, the west side.

The drud dealers are so high themselves, don't know how to aim properly.

I'd agree that Elder ave is the worst north to south street in Soundview, with Watson being the worst east to west. Special mention to Rosedale.

I am a white guy and my gf has a few friends who live in Soundview and needless to say everytime I go there I get a little nervous and am always watching my back, because most of the time I am the only white guy there walking around..

I never wear any jewelry or watches when I go, just my jeans, old sneakers and a hoodie sweatshirt lol....

Aside from Brownsville and East New York it is probably the 3rd worst area in NYC in terms of crime and drug activity....

Well,it's not the 3rd.Might be in the top 10 but it's not 3rd.

Most of Soundview is actually pretty quiet.It's a very big area.The really bad part is a relatively small section.

It's all about what kind of vibe or experience you have had in some neighborhood. If my arm get's hacked off in UES I will consider it the worst area in the city.
