It's City Island. Go to Westchester... I'm going there later this year but not to any seafood places. I researched all of the spots and the only place that stands out is a French Bistro, Bistro SK. The seafood places on City Island are a joke.

Tourist traps. That's the problem. They know people will come regardless so their thinking is why do we need to offer good quality food and service? Read the reviews on most of those places. No offense, but most of the people going to City Island are coming from the hood areas of the Bronx and don't know quality seafood. It isn't people from Riverdale or Country Club that's for sure. I've lived in Italy where you get the seafood fresh from the sea that day. No imitation garbage. None of the stuff is local. Bought en masse, often times from China and elsewhere.
While not my first choice I do like sammy’s Fish box. Last month we tried that cheap fried fish place johnny’s Reef . It was tasteless. I will take broadway fish mkt in wood side any day over it.

From what I've read that place is just a fried fish joint. If you want some fried shrimp, go there.
Johnny’s was tasteless. I had such hopes when I saw how good it looked . The best fried fish and shrimp is in a small well known storefront on broadway in woodside . It is called broadway fish market. I grew up in the projects across the street.
I love their fried fish and if it wasn’t for my wife who watches what I eat I would be there a whole lot more

Yeah I've heard that they don't season the food, so you need to go there with your own condiments. The only advantage to a place like that is you don't have to slave in the kitchen and dirty up dishes for fried seafood, otherwise it isn't worth it.
This is the first year we are not doing sammy’s For my wife’s birthday . We usually go there because it is in between all the kids and the food is always very good. Our kids are going to Africa so she is baby sitting ,
Hmmmmmmm broadway fish here I come , for the traditional wife’s away fried fish platter
