More specific please. In general your cost per sq foot will be less in Nassau but your overall cost of ownership may be less in Queens being that housing stock consists of a lot of coops condos and smaller old homes compared to Long Island.
More of a selection of apartments, both condos and rentals. So, if you don't want house and just a one-bedroom apartment, Queens may be cheaper. Though it depends on which neighborhood.
