its demographic, the south is the birthplace of black american identity. south has more blacks, the macho culture of rap is truly more pervasive in the south than in anyother area. most blacks live in the south. there was no way nyc would hold a group on rap and as well many people are tired of new yorkers always talking about nyc. too me at least southern rappers are better than northern rappers, some northerners are good but many are not.

LOl funny one. Actually Southern rappers are the ones that killed Hip Hop. Hip Hop originated in NYC. Southern Hip Hop is only good for the beats. That's all
