Hey guys, I am gonna move into the 3333 broadway ( the huge building located between w 133 th and w 135 th). I have read the thread concerning the 3333 broadway on this website but most of these suggestions and tips are too old to take. So guys, could you please tell me whether this area and this building are safe and decent? Thanks a lot.

I know at night there's a lot of people hanging out by the playground area in front of the building.

Are you a guy or a girl? What's your age and nationality?

Since it is around Columbia and City College, chances are there are many students living around there as well, it's probably mostly of ages 18-24, so it shouldn't be too bad, but probably not at night

Hey guys, thanks a bunch for your input. For klato's questions, I am short, female and Asian so I hope everything will be fine with my living there. Thank you so much.

I live near by, not next door but a few blocks over, and I have heard that the buildings are mixed in terms of safety and quality-of-life - that is to say, some are good and some are not.

I have also heard that there is a serious problem with bedbugs in some of the buildings. I would check the HPD records and the bedbug registry: Bedbug Registry

The landlord is obligated in inform you if this has been the case, how it was resolved, and attest that it has been resolved. There must be a rider affixed to your lease.

The landlord is LEGALLY obligated to inform you about any bedbug issues before you sign a lease.

see 2nd page of this document. You are supposed to receive one at lease signing. Its a new law so I dont know how wildly known or enforced it is

I live in this building, and all has been safe and fine. It's mostly families with children that live here. The area is safe, my female roomate comes home sometimes 11pm or midnight, the walk from the 1 train to the building has a bunch of 24 hour stores, and people are usually out.

I've had normal nyc pests, roaches, mice, no bed bugs, but I have heard stories about them. nothing abnormal for a nyc apt though. The only negative I say about it here, is that there's not too much to do in the area, usually have to train it somewhere to go to a bar or what not.

Supermarkets are great, ctown across the street, super compare up the street, and fairway is a close walk.

32/white male, been here almost 2 years.
